Themes

Earth and Ecology: We are not the center of the universe; LIFE is the supreme value. The Earth is the supreme living organism; we are only a small part.

Myself and the Other: In the Earth, who am I? What is positive, creative in me? What is my cultural, spiritual richness? What can I do in the middle of all the living creatures? Who is the other? How can I serve the other? In this theme we develop the philosophy of personalism and community. The two are essentially interrelated and are the source of self-esteem, personal responsibility, social commitment, community harmony.

Gender: What are the relations between women and men?

Human Rights and Obligations: We men and women have not only rights but also obligations. We need to cultivate social awareness and respect, no to violence, social and community responsibility.

Conflict transformation We do no respect always the rights or we do not comply always the obligations. That generates conflicts. How to transform the conflicts? It is enough to transform them or do we need reconciliation? (Reconciliation is a theological term.) We need to develop the capacity to prevent and transform conflicts. In international politics, that is the task of foreign affairs.

Economy How to produce, manage and distribute the goods produced by nature or human technologies for the wellbeing of the family, the community, and the nations? How to reduce poverty and dependency? How to develop economic self-sufficiency? How to respond to globalization?

Politics: We need to cultivate the wisdom and the science of building the "polis", the community, the nation, and the good relations between countries. It is a blind policy to define politics by national interests, if that means the destruction of another nation or community.

In order to achieve our objectives, we have adopted and applied to our needs the Appreciative Inquiry Methodology, which is a revolution in the way of thinking and an evolution of the Popular Research model, which began in Latin America approximately 30 years ago. In Appreciative Inquiry, instead of looking for problems what we do is to discover the positive things we already have: those things that fill us with life, inspire us, and give us strength. Based in what we have discovered we build a vision, we develop a strategic plan, and we execute the projects.
